JOGMEC provides financial assistance to Japanese companies to help to reduce the risks involved in exploration and development of metal resources.

Deploying its accumulated expertise, JOGMEC supports exploration and development of metal resources by providing 1) financing for (a) domestic exploration and (b) overseas exploration; 2) equity capital for overseas exploration; 3) liability guarantees for overseas mine development; and 4) financing and liability guarantees for mine pollution control.
