Financial Assistance (Oil and Natural Gas)
JOGMEC assists oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) projects in various areas. This is done through the provision of financial assistance to Japanese companies participating in E&P projects. Geological and other types of surveys are also performed by JOGMEC so that various kinds of information can be provided to generate and evaluate oil and gas E&P projects. JOGMEC also performs R&D projects, sometimes jointly with state-owned companies and international oil companies. Finally, JOGMEC provides educational and training programs for domestic and foreign upstream specialists.
