JOGMEC's Activities
JOGMEC's activities include financial assistance, technology development and technical support, stockpiling, gathering/providing information, mine pollution control and overseas field surveys.

JOGMEC provides financial supports to Japanese companies for oil, natural gas exploration, production (E&P) and project operation and for non-ferrous metals resources exploration activities and project operation.

To ensure an efficient supply of natural resources, JOGMEC, in collaboration with the Japanese government, municipal governments, Japanese companies and foreign partners, encourages technological development in all the areas which it is involved.

JOGMEC manages Japan's stockpiling of oil, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and rare metals, including the construction of national LPG stockpiling bases.

JOGMEC gathers, analyzes and supplies data on issues of oil and gas and mining-related information.

JOGMEC has developed advanced mine pollution prevention measures, including mine wastewater treatment, and offers surveys, technical consulting and financial support.

JOGMEC surveys fields or areas where geological or geophysical data are not gathered enough to evaluate potentials private companies' future exploration activities.
