Financing Initiatives
JOGMEC's financing initiatives support programs including exploration and mine pollution control. The results benefit society by creating economic opportunities and controlling pollution.
Financing Programs for the Private Sector
JOGMEC provides investment, loans and liability guarantees for nonferrous metals exploration and development projects by Japanese companies. It also offers loans to domestic corporations and individuals engaged in mine pollution control.
Examples of financing initiatives include loans totaling ¥730 million for a Japanese company for domestic exploration assistance. We have also loaned ¥400 million to 4 companies for mine pollution control at 10 mines, which facilitated mine drainage treatment and other initiatives. Moreover, JOGMEC provided loans of ¥300 million to a company to help it carry out soil remediation activities on agricultural land in the Jintsu river basin.
