Stockpiling (Petroleum and Liquefied Petroleum Gas)
JOGMEC contributes to economic stability in Japan by managing the national stockpiling of petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and rare metals, including the construction of national LPG stockpiling bases. This mandate includes funding private-sector participation in the stockpiling program. JOGMEC emphasizes safe, efficient management in operating stockpiling bases and warehouses, and maintains a system for expeditiously deploying reserves in case of emergency.
