Monocolumn Hull Floating Production Storage and Offloading (MPSO)

JOGMEC has played a key role in the development of breakthrough MPSO technology that makes offshore oil and gas production more operable and more efficient.

MPSO

Monocolumn Hull Floating Production Storage and Offloading

MPSO is a breakthrough technology that enables floating oil production, storage and offloading in ultra-deep water. JOGMEC participates in collaborative research to develop this technology. MPSO has better offshore motion characteristics than the conventional ship-shaped FPSO, and also has large storage capability. The production plant and drilling facility can be installed on the MPSO due to its large payload.
