JOGMEC and Reselectronics Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) is pleased to announce that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding lithium development with Joint Stock Company “Ruselectronics” (City of Moscow, Russia, Representative: Igor Kozlov) in Tokyo on December 15, 2016. The signing ceremony was held at the time of President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s visit to Japan.
JOGMEC has signed the MOU with Ruselectronics, which owns the technology for lithium extraction, for building a cooperative relationship as a strategic partner.
Based upon this MOU, JOGMEC will play the role of providing a bridge between Japanese companies and Ruselectronics about a project on lithium extraction from brine water with the use of its own technology while facilitating information exchange.
With this MOU, JOGMEC will continue its effort for strengthening a bilateral relationship with Russia as well as supply diversification and stable supply of lithium.

Ruselectronics is a holding company under “Rostec”, one of the biggest state-run company with about 2,000 investing companies while controlling over 600 companies including Ruselectronics.
