Geological Survey in Botswana

On June 17, 2020, JOGMEC and BGI announced with pleasure the commencement of the 2020 field operations in Botswana.
Geological mapping will consist of structural analysis using satellite images and systematic geological surveys in the target area.
In addition, several databases relating to various mineralization such as platinum group metals, rare earth metals, manganese and cobalt will be maintained.
This cooperative geological survey by the two governmental organizations will support collection of geological information for Botswana Geoscience Institute.
JOGMEC also aims to formulate exploration projects based on the operations.
