JOGMEC Techno Forum 2018; Registration is Now Open

Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) is pleased to announce that the JOGMEC Techno Forum 2018, the 6th forum to be hosted by JOGMEC, will be held on November 27, 2018 at the Palace Hotel Tokyo and the online registration is now open.
JOGMEC, as a governmental agency, plays a role in Japanese resource development with the primary mission to ensure stable supply of natural resources to Japan through financial and technical assistance in Exploration & Development projects, and enhancement of relationships with oil and gas producing countries.
This Techno Forum was established in 2013 as an intention to function as an active and facilitative tool in reinforcing the relationships with oil and gas producing countries by incorporating a wide range of cutting-edge Japanese technologies. We are very pleased to have had many people attend the event every year.
This year in JOGMEC Techno Forum 2018, under the theme of “Energy Industy at Turning Point”, we will explore the challenges and practices of gas and digital transformation in today’s resource development. Having witnessed a modest recovery of crude oil price in the world market, energy industry is now facing a turning point to consider what needs be done in light of domestic and international trend. In the afternoon, several presentations and/or panel discussion will be held in two technical sessions, which are “Gas/LNG” and “Digital Technologies”, to introduce the diversified LNG business models including the “Ichthys LNG Project” operated by INPEX and various initiatives towards Digital Transformation. Furthermore, Japanese cutting edge technologies and JOGMEC’s activities will be showcased in the foyer.
We hope this forum will serve as a platform to bridge between oil and gas producing countries and Japanese technology companies, and that your challenges will be met by the technical solutions.
