JOGMEC Launches a New Training Program “Energy Transition Course” as Part of the Commitment by the Asia Energy Transition Initiative(AETI)
JOGMEC is pleased to announce the launch of a new training program “Energy Transition Course”, which was conducted for the Republic of Indonesia as part of the commitment by the Asia Energy Transition Initiative (AETI), promoted by the Japanese government, to developing human resources related to decarbonization technology.
JOGMEC's human resource development projects have been implemented with the aim of contributing to Japan's resource diplomacy and strengthening cooperative relationships with oil and gas-producing countries.
Currently, nations around the world are attempting at realizing carbon neutrality while there is no "single best solution" for achieving it, as the industrial and social structures and geographical conditions of each country vary. JOGMEC conducted the Energy Transition Course this time for the Republic of Indonesia, one of the key nations in Asia, where the demand for energy is growing and finding a diverse and realistic components of energy transition, utilizing all kinds of energy sources and technologies, is particularly essential.
This training took place online from March 22nd to 23rd, and 22 officers from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources participated. Dr. Prahoro Nurtjahyo, Head, Human Resources Development Agency of Energy and Mineral Resources concluded the course by giving the closing remarks.
Through our human resource development projects, JOGMEC will continue to contribute to the building and strengthening of our relationships with energy-producing and consuming countries, and to the advancement of energy transitions.
