Final Investment Decision for 2nd eFuels Production Project in USA by Infinium

May 20, 2025

Infinium Holdings, Inc. (hereafter "Infinium") announced that final investment decision (“FID”) was made and construction has begun on its second commercial-scale eFuels project, also known as Roadrunner, which is expected to be the world’s largest eSAF production facility when operational in 2027, located in West Texas, USA. Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (hereafter "JOGMEC"), together with Mitsubishi Corporation (hereafter "Mitsubishi"), are investors in Infinium.
Infinium is one of the world leaders in production of eFuels, which are a new class of synthetic fuels that use green hydrogen and carbon dioxide to produce ultra-low carbon alternatives to traditional fossil-based fuels. They are the world’s first producer of commercially available ultra-low carbon eFuels and will continue to deploy their proprietary technology in the United States and other locations. Project Roadrunner, now under construction in West Texas, USA, achieved project funding from Brookfield Asset Management and Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, alongside contributions from Infinium.

JOGMEC and Mitsubishi promote efforts to realize a sustainable society through respective equity participation into the eFuels business ecosystem that Infinium is forming with its partners and customers based on its core catalyst technology.
