International Seminar on impurities in copper raw material on October 17, 2018
August 1, 2018
Revised on November 9, 2018
Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation(JOGMEC)will hold an international seminar in copper raw material on October 17, 2018.
Impurities such as arsenic in copper raw material tend to increase in recent years. This trend will bring grave impact for not only countries which produce copper concentrate, but also countries which smelt copper like Japan.
In these circumstances, JOGMEC and Japanese copper smelting companies started basic study for separating impurities from copper raw materials at mineral processing stage from 2017 as a national project.
However, we understand that it is necessary to address the challenging issue for not only limited countries, but also all countries related to the copper industry. Therefore we decided to hold an international seminar on impurities in copper raw material in Japan on 17th October 2018 with the aim of sharing common awareness of the issue which the world confronts and available technologies for separation of these impurities.
If you would like to attend this seminar, please make a preliminary application in the form below until October 10, 2018. We look forward to having you join us.
